A handmade leather SAP (slapjack), Leather paper weight, Leather book weight, Slapper, Leather beavertail is an old and somewhat nostalgic design. The head and body are filled with lead slugs and lead shoots. The body has a piece of spring steel. The device is stiff but also has a bit of flex. You can use it simply as paper or book weight, or decide like many people to carry one in your vehicle, pocket, or purse.

 

The Leather SAP (Slapjack) paperweight or book weight is constructed of 4 layers of durable Premium full-grain WATER BUFFALO Veg-tanned. 

 

The Leather SAP is a device measuring 7.5" long and weighing 420-460 grams making it a nice paperweight, book weight, self defense tool or impact device. The sap is a great self-defense weapon one level before deploying a firearm.

 

The leather used: WATER BUFFALO Veg-tanned Shoulder with a beautiful grain brought out by infused waxes and oils. Water buffalo leather is known for its durability, strength, and unique grain pattern. Water buffalo leather is exceptionally durable and is known for its longevity. It can withstand wear and tear, making it a popular choice for products that require strength and longevity.
